View Full Version : Can't believe how some galleries get exploited...

...by other TGP sites!
I have this one gallery (http://teensytits.com/41120kpc/free-000.html) which probably got more hits in December than all my other TGP galleries combined - and 90% of them from sites who copied the link from other sites, who again copied the link from some other site, who ... you get the idea! It all started with a listing on PicHunter...
Unfortunately Karup's referring stats don't tell a thing about which gallery produces sign-ups - this months wasn't bad in my humble ratios, but I have no clue if I can thank in part this particular gallery for it, or if this gallery even returned it's cost of bandwidth...

BW is cheap. I love it when other places pickup my galleries. Traffic without any work is how I look at it.

But this one is now at the far end of America, getting traffic from Argentinian and Brasilian sites... Next will be Japan, I guess...
Puts another spin to regional re-directions (which I don't do so far in fear of getting banned).
Just found another one (http://www.peachy18.com/gallery.aspx?id=6883960) which must be well over 1½ years old - where do they find these things?
I'll answer for myself: probably in SEs - I get about 2,000 se hits to galleries/day...

What I don't understand: why do they list a page with recip links - I make it so easy: every directory has a clean index.html without recip links... Hard to miss one would think!
None English speaking surfers and those that can't use a CC are always a problem. It is nice when the sponsor redirects clicks to your ads properly, not that they always do.

I like the free traffic too.
But I gotta agree when a gallery from a year ago ends up on some TGP's new listings it baffles me.

Speaking of which: I just received an email from XNXX confirming that one of my submissions has been approved - a gallery from the 19th of December 2002!!!
Now that's what I call working through a backlog of submissions - LOL Just lucky I'm still using the sponsor advertised on the gallery!
I have to go - I caught some really nasty spyware yesterday (I'm 90% sure it was disguised as a Microsoft Security Update - BE WARNED!!!) and have to find some way to get rid of it - there goes half a day of productive work... Grrr!
