Pay Site Or Premium AVS?

I could use a little help in deciding the best route to go with a current project. Running a pay site would be too much hassle, I think, given my other committments at the moment. As mentioned in a previous post, I'm considering a premium avs as an alternative.

I basically need a home for a lot of exclusive content I shoot myself 4 days a week. I'm producing more than I can submit and, like everyone else, I've got thousands of pics/movies lying around that I purchased elsewhere.

The question is how best to use this content. What do you recommend?

If I could find someone to help out with my other work, would a pay site be worthwhile? Or should I be looking at avs protection and feeding it with free sites and small avs? Adult Bouncer is top of my list. Can you think of a better avs deal?

kristian - I'd go with the paysite model with a webmaster referral program, even if you only charge a fraction of what a normal "mega" paysite would charge - reason is that who would you rather give (roughly) 50% of the profits to:

An AVS that sends you surfers that are in their database & you get no money for it?

A webmaster that sent you a surfer that signed up for the site?

(of course, I am assuming that you do not want to promote other things in the members area & that you could do a weekly update to keep them around)

I'm going to give it some serious thought over the weekend while I finish up designing the site below. All that concerns me is my lack of knowledge in running a pay site. I've been designing for about 9 years and I can do gals/fs/avs etc in my sleep. A pay site is just totally knew to me.

I know I'm a pain in the arse, but would you be available for brain-picking along the way if I go ahead with it? :D And I bet Jim - if he's willing - would give excellent info on the webmaster referral aspect.

For the thousands of webmasters surfing this site (who may not always post), the wealth of knowledge - and support - you get from Greenguy and Jim is amazing. Oh - and not forgetting Cleo! These guys will make you money. I'd attridute 60% of what I know to them...which is 60% of my earnings (which has been enough to reitre from the rat race at only 27!).

While I agree with GG and the small paysite model..

There are a couple of decent AVS's left..

AdultVerifier is one..

The AV Ultra program is for qual sites with over 1000 images,etc and has a WM resell program available too. Worth looking at if you dont have the time for the paysite option.
