Once I get my main blog past a certain boiling point in traffic, I plan to use that to launch the others.

I've heard rumors of people creating 1000 crosslinking spam based ones. How they update those I'll never know.

5 sounds reasonable. so does 7. :)

I cant imagine anyone having more than 10 that are frequently updated tho.

I update all 5 of mine 2-3 times a day....the more frequently you update, the more you are pinged.

I'm in the process of working on my 2nd, but I'm trying to get some entries in it plus get the layout the way I want before it gets linked up anywhere. Lately I've got so much to do, it's been an effort just to keep the first updated.

I got one.. it's a disaster. I get like 300 spam comments a day, and NOTHING I do seems to stop the guy.

I have a non-adult free blog hosting site, a blog directory site, and the adult blog I just mentioned.

I try everything to stop my blog spammer but the guy is relentless. His comments never even get posted but he won't stop, and the worst part is I still have to go into my comments area and clean them all out. I use wordpress and a few spam blockers that don't work. I've completely given up on it.

It was only up for a little while but to me it seemed like a lot of work for no payoff. I can't be forced to come up with good posts all day. I could barely maintain my 1-post-a-day self-imposed quota.

It ended up just becoming a picpost type of site anyway.

I wish all you bloggers luck, 'cause I could never figure it out. If anyone wants to peep it and give me some pointers I'm all ears.

I have been getting hit frequently too but they all go in the "moderate" section and I can select all of them and delete at once. Still irritating, but at least it's only a couple of clicks on my part and they never get seen by anyone.

I like your writing style.. I even went and checked out the archives :) If I was you I'd keep at it even if it's not once a day.

Yes it is wordpress. The layout is a premade one that i heavily edited, the graphic at the top was done by me. Wish I had time to figure out the way themes work, but not enough hours in the day unfortunately :(
