View Full Version : What's wrong with my signature?

(EDIT: NEVERMIND! It's working now... Can someone delete this thread? LOL!)

I wasn't sure where to post this, I hope I picked the right place...

I rarely ever use a signature on the boards, but hubby is listing a bunch of his crap on eBay so I thought I would put a link to it in my sig.

Unfortunately, this board doesn't seem to like my eBay sig? I added it in my profile and it seemed to go through ok, but now when I try to make a post, the post won't go through, and I get that IE error flag in the bottom left of the browser that says "error on page".

When I click that, the error reads:

Line: 49
Char: 2
Error: 'document.vbform.status' is null or not an object
Code: 0
URL: http://www.greenguyandjim.com/board/newreply.php

The URL I'm trying to put in my sig is:

http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewSellersOtherItems&userid=y2know&include=0&since=-1&sort=3&rows=200

I've tried it in html link format and just pasting the URL with no HTML, neither one works.

Any clue what I'm doing wrong?

Ok... That is extremely weird. It let me post that with the sig turned on... Let's try this now...

Well crap! It's working fine now! Must have been a temporary glitch or maybe I was doing something stupid.

Can I delete this thread? |jester|

Click on post and enter the title and then then URL with http:// button and it will look like this:

Hubbys Crap (http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewListedItems&userid=y2know&include=0&since=-1&sort=2&rows=200&rdir=0)

Then cut and paste to your profile :)

Cleo, I had tried it both ways, with the html tags and without... It wouldn't let me post either way, but now it does.

You know, I think I know what could have happened. I was writing a response to a post when I thought about adding the sig... So I edited my profile while the post window was still open. Then when it was edited, I tried to post. Maybe it simply didn't like me adding a sig in the middle of posting?

Thanks for the replies. :-)

The sig is showing up as a clickable link for everybody now, right?

Nice Collection of Pens there, Mrs. H. Gosh you should contact some of the companies like Quaker State etc and see if they want to buy it back for their archives.

We just bought back a Ski Suit from 1976.. man it looks like the michelin tire man.. huge and bright orange.. amazing how far fabric has come in 25 yrs.

Thanks Holly. ;) Hubby never could pass up those "dollar boxes" at the end of estate sales and such... Now we're crammed with junk!

Just as a note, hubby isn't actually doing the listings, just advising... A friend of ours is doing it for a percentage of the gross. Listing on eBay is a full-time proposition with this much junk. ;)
