View Full Version : When is a page getting too long?

I have [finally] my new tgp page (almost) ready, only 2 more categories, my toplist, and a few more ads and I'm done = hard yakka!

But it's scaring: the code is already ~130k, and that's NOT counting all the graphics and preview thumbnails. Is this too long for a single page?

Try how it loads for you: http://www.no1porn.com/main.shtml - though: of course it's not getting traffic yet, so it gives no indication of future server load...

Cheers |peace|

I'd make 6 seperate pages with each category on one - more ad space :)

At 455K that's a BIG page :)
I dont think I have seen a pge with 47 tables before:D

I would go with the separate pages idea too

Where do you get these statistics from? Any particular browser function? I'd like to know so that I can compare some sites...

I'm alos going to go with breaking up the page into separate pages.

This will better filter the traffic and give you better targetd ads.

Tis slightly unrealted to what we are talking about here..... but I am pretty sure Googlebot gives up on a page at about 99k.
