linklist scripts

Hiya all

so here yet another question for you wise guys

Me and my friend have a feeder site that gives us about 20 - 25 k in traffic a month. so we are thinking of making a linklist out of it but here is the catch... where to find scripts for the site ? well they gotta be free as we are both quite poor ( beeing a student and all ;) )
ofcourse the scripts we are looking for is the - submit-check link back-easy to install-n00b friendly-and most of all free script

found one out there but no manual

anyone got any thoughts ?

You can do it the old fassion way - email forms & hand editing got me where I am today :)

No LL script that I know of checks recips. Humans or MML's are needed! :D

This linklist script is free, but you still have to manually check the recips.

You can do some more searching on Google to see what you can find too. I know these are some free tgp scripts that might be adaptable, as well as that gossamer links thing, if that's still around.

strange that you have to manualy check link backs. think I've seen scripts that check it uppon submission. Couldnt be that hard to program...

loki - thx for the link to the free script. very n00b friendly. Just one question. It seems like there is missing a file. when trying to add new categories it call uppon categories.php and thats now there. Is it me or.. ?

I'm not gonna post how my personal script works, but it does check for recips :)

What DDave was talking about is rechecking them after they are lsited - that's a human job - the best link bot is the human eye :)

What is it that makes you not wanna post your script ? fear of loosing ? is that it ? fear that you will not in a soon future be as big as you are ? well come on greenguy.. dont cry. it good to get it out in the open.. dont worry. you are special. yeah... what a smile. see it not that bad. say with me - I'm am special. you can do it.. I AM SPECIAL. very good and now u just need to post how its done, the code, the files, a 5 page introduction on how to install it and you will feel much more green and happy

My link list script does too..checks recips and does not let the webmaster submit without one..
They get an error message saying recip could not be found, please try again

if i figure out how to quickly ad recip checking to my php/sql link list i'll give you a free copy. i know one way it could be done, but it's alot to code and i'm lazy :-)

wtf ! 400 $ |goodnight for a script. Well i guess as I have only made 35 $ an total I'm a long way from that.
Guess my galleries suck - or maybe its my sponcers .

anyway - I'll stick to my free script, that i suspect is missing a file, and that i can install properly as is a total stupid f***** n00b - well guess i'm gonna larn sometime - just hope its gonna be sooner than later. :D kid comming my way - rent at 1000 $/month and beeing a student....
but as it says in the bible (?) - all good comes to those that wait.

( only knows two things from that book - the other think is the story about onan - witch has laid the name to spanking the monkey, to put it in a "nicer" phrase, in danish :D )

dump $20 into a used php book from ebay, read it in 2 weeks & make your own :D

it's a little bit of greif if youre new to programming but hey, you save $380

If I were you, I would get this free script (http://www.gossamer-threads.com/scripts/links/) and use a free link checker (for redirects and 404s) like this one (http://home.snafu.de/tilman/xenulink.html).

Worry about recips later. :)
