View Full Version : Google toolbar suddenly stopped working?

Anyone else having this problem?
My toolbar stopped showing page rank for all pages.

Any ideas besides the obvious?
(reinstalling, rebooting, clearing cache)

All pages in the web have lost all their rank. My link list, LOR, all link lists and sites are now a gray bar.

Please tell me that Google has killed this feature and it isn't just that Kush has broken his toolbar so that we will never have to hear about page rank again. :D

Actually I have no idea since I'm too lazy to go boot up my PC to take a look. lol

same here.

i have seen a couple of sites come up with pr today, but a lot of sites that i know have good pr are grey bar right now.

I've noticed this happening - on and off - for the last few days.

Sometimes linking in from another page seems to switch it back on & sometimes refreshing the page does it...

Maybe google need to replace their batteries |rasta|

Mine stopped working altogether also.
But click on the toolbar, and it says it was updated with an auto fill and pop up blocker and a bunch more crap.
(not sure when or how - I didn't ask it to)

Anyway to remove this one, and go back to the old one?

I just got mine showing some GREEN again by hitting backward links and then going back to the page you wanna display PR for.

I think it was a Google server issue.

dareutwo - easiest way to get rid of those extra features is to hit either the "options" tab on the toolbar if its showing or the google logo pulldown and select options - there you can check or uncheck any features :)

I turned everything off right away, but I the PR still isn't showing... tried the backwards links too.

Last night about 11PM is suddenly started working fine again.
Oh well, as long as it hasn't quit completely. :)

ive found that coming right in off the serps - you will see gray. do a page into the site and then back out to the previous page and it should show your pr.

that's how it works for me anyway.
