Awstats question

I just checked my Awstats for a domain that I bought 2 weeks ago... I've put a temporary page on it that gets a few SE hits each day.. but since a week ago I'm getting loads of hits while the page is only visted 3-5 times a day.. most of these hits seem to come from GG&Jim (1800) and GFY (1400+) but I don't see any difference in unique visits... does someone has an explanation for this?

The page it self is 100k big or so so burning 10MB a day would mean 100 visitors.. which is not the case..
