Free Site Structure for my Link Lists - GreenguyandJim's Adult Webmaster Message Board And Chat

Just a heads up, one thing I always check while reviewing is site structure.

I know most use mirrors, hell I do too.

I do not want just the warning page in a subfolder, I want the whole damn site. I don't care about the banners, thumbs, images, or movies...they can be anywhere on your domain as long as they are on the same domain, they can be in your root for all I care.

But I want all the html pages which includes the main and any gallery pages in the same subfolder with the warning page as the default page for that subfolder.

I will not accept clicking up from the main page or galleries and getting another warning page without my recip on it.

It takes just a few seconds to clone the html pages and those just take a mere few kb of your storage

I'm letting it slide for now and accepting the poor site structure, but soon the rules will be changed on all 3 to reflect this...so be forewarned

Most auto-subs have that type of structure and if the submitter doesnt take the time to ensure that all HTML files are replicated within the folder, you're going to see it that way. Drives me crazy.

One question though. Whats the reason why Link List owners prefer the whole site being duplicated?

and not just the index page.

Because it makes it a complete site (as I said the images can be anywheres on the domain, I'm just talking the actual html pages...so you do not have to have several copies of images and movies as THAT does take up space)

nah...keep the main folder with a blank as it is if you want....just clone all the html pages in the main into the subfolders along with the recip pages you were doing before....so all 4-6 pages are in each mirrors folder...and make sure all your links adjust for the extra level to images and such

i'm with MeatPounder for that one, i actually use that structure for more than two years and the reason why he wants sites be like that is quite simple if you use mirror indexes leading to the same main page SEs will most likely delete all the indexes or leave only one of them so there is big chance he will lose his recip link back, in other hand like that you are not gaining a lot of it too; If the whole site is in a different directory (the html pages is enough the images can be at the same place) you have an entire different site and SEs will see it like that if you take your time to make each page title and description different, make some changes in the texts and all the alt tags and so. So you'll end up with like 5-10 compete different pages instead of one, all the link lists will have their link back so it's a winning deal for all. Many will say that it's easy to just clone the index and especially changing the titles and stuff takes too much time, but the free sites are not galleries; if you care of the quality of your free sites and not the quantity you may end up with less submissions and more sign ups with better ratios....

just too many people are doing free sites the same way they are doing galleries and for me that's not the right way...

Wildly applauds!!!!!!! About time y'all get tough on this. It takes me less than one minute to duplicate my html files and update the locations for the pictures. I want to say it was LadyDesigner who patiently explained this to me years back. We didn't do mirrors when I first started. I know Cleo has also stressed this. It's just smart website building.
