Linklist rules in 09

Been well over 3 years since I did freesite submits for ll's (only sub blogs now).

Quick consensus .. since I intend to be doing them again for a month as part of a project tute I am undertaking for Oct.. and would appreciate your suggestions

1. Only going to bother with 16 ll's, are 16 recips ok for the warning page still?

2. Max number of pics/movies? Ie 5x20 sec movies each gallery page ok, or I need to prune it down still?

3. Still max 3 sponsor links per page?

4. Any new rules since a few years ago ?

The rules you mentioned are pretty much still in effect.
I even think most LL owners have gotten easier wuth the reviews over the years.

I agree with Fonz, rules have become more relaxed since I started submitting a little ovr two years ago. I've been using sponsor hosted ads, including flash banners and such without any problems.

Category recips seem to be slowly fading as a requirement, although a lot of list still prefer them.

If you go over 12 recips, text recips look much, much better imo.

Most places no longer require category or custom recips so you can put many more on the same page.

Lots of other more submitter friendly rules too.

I'd say the basic rules still apply although many LL's as Cleo stated are a lot more submitter friendly.

Movies minimum 60 seconds on each gallery
Pictures minimum 12 images on each gallery

3 Outgoing links per page

Index/Warning Page => Main Page => Two Gallery Pages

I'd do more than 16 too. I have one that i have 32 recips on.

I have most with 36 recips on them

what i have noticed is that if you are a good submitter...the rules are much easier for you then years ago

1.It's been a while since I built freesites but you should be fine with 16 recips.
2.Not sure what the max number of pics and movies is, I usually did 2 minutes of movies or 20 to 30 pics a site.
3. Probably not a good idea to do more than 3 exit links.

Yeah been going through my old linklist list and noticed a ton of them are dead or don't seem to be updating anymore, and unfortunately a few have gone partner only. Kind of a shame I haven't kept up with the state of play with linklists and who is still around because there will be a lot of guess work to do.

Is the stance still heavily against products like freesitewizard, and i notice chameleon has a submitter too? Save me a ton of time if they were allowed now.

I allow auto submitters if they are done right (the person using the submitter ensures that they are filling in my fields properly...every decent submitter allows you to tweak for a specific submit form)

Why would LL be agaisnt Freesiteswizard, it is not an autosubmitter?
