Does it still sell? I did the tgp/free site thing about ten years ago. Made some decent sales, enough to supplement my day job income.

Now, we've hit a rough patch and I am dipping my toes in the water again, hoping to supplement the family income until the husband's latest indie screenplay finally goes into production, and until his breakout screenplay finally gets noticed by the big studios...

Basically, I'm looking to do some galleries and free sites. It's been a long while. What's it like out there for the adult marketers?

If you've been gone ten years, you'll find that it takes about 5x as much traffic to make a sale now and that good traffic which converts to sales at a reasonable ratio is very hard to acquire in large quantities.

Yes it can be done but it is much harder! TGP galleries rarely get accepted anywhere unless you have a partner account or pay for an account. Free sites still convert but traffic to those free sites has decreased significantly.

If you have time then yes give it a try.

BUT... be sure to promote a niche of some sort not just general porn/hardcore.

Like Ramster and Simon said it's much harder to get sales these days. Let's say I'm happy that I have another full time job

Thanks guys. From the various message boards and the like, that was the general feeling I was getting.

Welp, I'm gonna surf the various link lists and see what the young whipper snappers are putting out there these days. Gotta feeling more has changed out there than conversion rates.
