Paul Markham's Auction Site To Fight Acacia
As you may know I've been very vocal and active in fighting Acacia and their patent claims. Today I'm stepping it up.
At the moment there are 11 defendants in court contesting the patent. These people are fighting for us all, even the companies who licensed with Acacia. They are spending their own money so we can carry on doing business as we use to.
Our auction site is to raise money for the defense fund. All the money raised, less the processing fees, will be donated to the fund. The site is now up and running, so we are kicking it off with two of our SPECIAL OFFER sets.
For those who cannot afford to bid there is a $10 set for sale that automatically gives buyers a ticket in the drawer for one of our specials. That will be ready in an hour or so.
So come on in, bid and bid often, you know it's in a good cause.
Will be putting up more soon and hopefully will be having donations from other people to offer. Anyone with anything to donate can ICQ ME HERE all donators get a banner up while they have an item in the auction.
So this is a new site and very much in the planning stage so comments are also welcome.
With the “Test Auction” we ran last week we raised $616.25 and added to it $30 which is 20% from the purchases of those that registered on our site via my “Fight Acacia” threads. So today a check goes in the post for $646.25 not a bad start but I'm sure we can all do better.
SuperBowl Pool Remains At Two!!!
Well, for the 12th week in a row, both Linkster & XPorn were correct in their Super Bowl Pool Picks & that means that once again, we'll be waiting at least one more week to find our winner.
You guys have been very good with getting your picks in on time, but just a reminder - there are Saturday games this week - and while neither of you can pick the Kansas City at Minnesota game, both of you can pick the other games. So, let's go with the 24 hour rule - if you want to pick one of Saturday's games, you need to get the pick to me by Noon EST Friday.
If not, the normal Noon EST on Saturday rule is in effect.
Also, just a reminder of the rules:
7 - In the event there is a tie at the end of the contest (after Week 17), we will randomly draw a winner from
those that are in the tie. If there is a tie before Week 17, we will extend the contest until we have one winner
or until the end of the season. (meaning if in Week 15 there are 4 people left & all 4 loose, they will go again
in Week 16)
Don't make Jim & me pick the winner! LOL

Our Email Contest Is Up To $800
With our email contest up to $800, I feel the need to give you this tip. I have noticed that for some reason, some anti spam software takes our newsletters and either trashes them or puts them in a "Junk" folder.
If you are not receiving your newsletter and are not using hotmail, check your filters. Each week, I send out at least 2 winning emails and it has now been 8 weeks since a winner claimed his or her prize.
Believe me, if you win, you will know that you have won. There is no missing the bold red test saying you are a winner.
