Redirecting Visitors
So many times, people have asked me how to redirect visitors without using htaccess. While using htaccess is always the best way to redirect visitors for one reason or another, there is a simple way if you are not comfortable using htaccess.
Simply copy the following code and place it between the "HEAD" tags of your page. Remember to change "http://www.newpage.com/" to where ever you want the surfers to be redirected. Also notice "CONTENT="5". This tells the browser how long it should wait before the redirection. You can change this to any amount of seconds you would like but, do not use 0. There are still a lot of browsers out there that don't know what to do with 0 seconds.
