~What's Going On At GreenguyandJim?~
Back but not Complete
As you know by now, our Forum was offline almost all day Wednesday. The reason for this was that GreenguyandJim's Hard Drive crashed. After spending all day getting our backup up and running we discovered that our mysql database for the forum has been lost.
For a lucky 200 of you, your account information is still in the database. But, for the rest, you will need to signup again. We know that this entire ordeal sucks. But, please bare with us.
So, you need to do a few things. First, get to the GreenguyandJim Forum and say hello, all over again :) Next, if you signed up to our Sports Pools, you will need to go HERE, and do it again.

As stated above, we had a small problem Tuesday evening that caused our forum database to be lost. So, you may have to sign up to the board again to post. As a signing bonus, we are having a special contest for members of the board on Wednesday, the 3rd of September. Backup Your Data :)
Well, here is a Tip that we had to learn the hard way. First, everyone has to remember that Hard Drives fail. It is not if it fails, it is when it fails. Are you going to be ready? We thought we were.
As everyone knows by now, GreenguyandJim suffered from a Hard Drive crash Tuesday evening, check out the details HERE.
Knowing that someday, something would happen, I copied the entire GreenguyandJim site 3 times/day. When I thought about losing everything on the server, I said, "Bring it On". Little did I know that the Forum used a mysql database that was located elsewhere.
So, make sure you have backups of everything. Make sure if you are using a database of any kind, you are backing that up as well. Believe me, when you lose everything because of a Hard Drive crash, it sucks :)
