Back but not Complete
As you know by now, our Forum was offline almost all day Wednesday. The reason for this was that GreenguyandJim's Hard Drive crashed. After spending all day getting our backup up and running we discovered that our mysql database for the forum has been lost.
For a lucky 200 of you, your account information is still in the database. But, for the rest, you will need to signup again. We know that this entire ordeal sucks. But, please bare with us.
So, you need to do a few things. First, get to the GreenguyandJim Forum and say hello, all over again :) Next, if you signed up to our Sports Pools, you will need to go HERE, and do it again.

Looking For A New Host
We have decided to find a new host publicly. Greenguy and I are looking for a new hosting company. We will be accepting bids at greenguyandjim@greenguyandjim.com for hosting greenguyandjim.com, link-o-rama and many others.
There are a few things we do not want to hear from support of any prospective company. Here is a short list to give you the idea.
An answering machine when we call for support
No answer when calling
I am the NT guy, our UNIX guy won't be in until tomorrow.
Yes, we have 24 hour support, here is my cell number.
That is not our responsibility, it's your techs.
I'm sorry, we don't do backups.
One of your servers needs a part. I just sent a guy downtown.
We don't offer telnet because we can't track the amount of bandwidth you use with it.
We don't offer remote rebooting
We will need at least 3 servers. We will need mirroring, secure shell, mail/pop server for all domains and daily backups. We will be moving in excess of 300 domains. When we move, we don't want to touch a thing and we don't want any downtime. We will also need to contact some of your biggest clients.
While the cost of hosting is a factor, the features will mean more to us than anything else. We are both strong believers in "you get what you pay for". As you can see from above, we are really not asking for much. We want guarantees that if there are any problems, they will be taken care of quickly and nothing will ever be lost. If you can give us more than we are asking for, please mention that in your proposal. We are anxious to move but we do have time to make the right decision.
