Greenguy's Stats Released
Well, after taking a few months off from doing my stats, I now remember why I hated doing them - LOL - I took me a few days, but I do finally have my stats up!

As promised, these stats are a little more accurate than the previous totals, as they are 3 month totals as opposed to 1 month totals in the past. Hopefully this weeded out the "lucky" signups (although I think there is a 1:9 in there, which shocked the shit out of me, but I looked & it was legit - LOL)
As usual, I used the raw totals if the sponsor provided them - if they didn't provide raw totals, odds are I didn't put their stats up there. I think the results that I have this time are very accurate.

Spamming a Board or Supporting your Sponsors?
Recently, we had someone post on all our forums the same message where he claimed he was supporting his sponsors in their time of need.
I never really thought of what should be considered spam and what should not. When posting on any forum in support of your favorite sponsor, I always look to see if the poster is using a referral code. That seems simple, right? But, it's not so simple when the owner of the program posts without a referral code.
To me, there is nothing wrong with pointing out a sponsor that is converting very well for them. There is not a problem with defending a sponsor that may be having problems. That is...as long as you have nothing to gain by these posts other than helping other webmasters.
So, when talking about a sponsor, unless posting in our "Products and Services" forum, it is always best to not use your referral code. That is the one thing that sends up red flags that this person is spamming.
This tip may seem like common sense to most of us but you would be surprised by how many people can't seem to figure it out.
