I Want To Promote Your Program!
Seeing as I have been out of it for the last 2 weeks, now seems like a good time to start up one of these threads
I WANT TO PROMOTE YOUR PAYSITE PROGRAM!!!!
The keyword there is YOUR program - not your buddies program, not one you think I should try out - you have to own the program or work for it.
This means:
1 - No referral codes - it's your program, so you don't need to post a referral code. If I see a referral code, I will edit/delete the post.
2 - Don't post programs that I am already using - this may seem like a no-brainer, but every time I do one of these threads, someone posts a program that they know I'm already using, usually asking me to send more traffic.
3 - per sign-up & partnership programs only - no toys or DVD's, no phone sex, no click thru's, etc

Attention Pay Site Owners.
STOP MAKING ME JUMP THROUGH HOOPS
Recently, I started a thread
on the General Business Knowledge Forum asking for people to post links &
info on their paysite/partnership program. I do this every few months
so that I can get some fresh sites to advertise (plus it gives a lot of you a
chance to promote your programs on the board in a legit way - LOL) Over
the last 5 days, I've signed up for 20-30 new program & a few of them had
me scratching my head during & after the signup process:
1 - If you have a program that has 2 or more
sites to promote, making the webmaster sign up for each site individually is
annoying & in most cases, not necessary. If you have a program like
this, I strongly suggest that you contact your processing company or a programmer
& find a way to make the process a little less annoying to the webmaster
that is signing up. If it's supposed to be one big program, have one sign
up page & make life a little easier for those that want to promote you.
2 - Do not require that the account be "reviewed"
or that the ads be in place before the webmasters account is ready to go. When
I sign up for a program, I want access to the webmaster area ASAP so that I
can grab my link codes, promo material, etc. while I am still thinking about
your program. Waiting a few hours for an email to come in it not a good
idea. By then, I'm usually moved onto another project & that means
you get put on the back burner. (and this part of the rant does not apply to
programs that email you a verification link - those are fine)
3 - Make the link codes easy to find & if
at all possible, have my account number in them already! Most people are
looking for a list of codes for the sites in your program that they can copy
& paste onto their system for use in their own special way. Doing
the link codes one at a time is a huge pain in the ass. Then, throw in
that you have to do a search & replace on the codes so that XXXXX is not
your account number. These extra steps waste time & leave a sour taste
in my mouth.
All of these things have one thing in common
- they make life easier for the webmaster that wants to promote your sites.
In the age that we live & work in, most, if not all, of these problems
can be taken care of with a little bit of extra coding or work on the owners
part.
In the long run, you'll have happier webmasters
that can find what they need when they need it & everyone's life will be
a little bit easier :)
